Using walls to free up space

No doubt about it - we have downsized.  The townhouse is about 400 sq. ft. smaller than our house, plus we lost our two car garage, our attic, and our barn.  We've been racking our brains (pun intended) to think of new storage ideas.  You might remember the shelf we converted into a pot rack.  Well, we've been at it again.

Back in June, I found this metal coat rack at the Chattanooga Goodwill for $3, but I had no idea what I was going to do with it.  Inspiration came before the holidays, but we put it up with week.

This certainly isn't all my jewelry, but it cleared out some space.

I also bought a wooden coat rack this summer, and I had no idea what to do with it either.  But, never fear, ideas eventually come.

Some of my purses are a little sad looking.  It's time to upgrade but don't judge.

We still have a lot of stuff that needs a home.  It's mostly piled up in the basement in boxes.  I have gotten rid of at least two car loads of stuff, and I'm sure there is more, if I just had the heart to do it.

Have you got any good ideas for maximizing space?

Love the "purse rack." Now you can go shopping for some new purses.

I LOVE the purse rack! (And I also love the shelf/pot rack from the previous post. Very good ideas!)
