Two weeks down, fifty to go!

Things are progressing nicely so far in 2012.  I did go to the gym yesterday, but I didn't do yoga.  I was at the dentist during yoga class, but I did workout. (Teeth are in good shape, by the way.) Mike and I are planning to take Sunday afternoon's yoga class.  Hopefully, it won't be so brutal.

This morning I set up a screening appointment down in Ann Arbor for LASIK.  AA, as I call it, is a little over an hour away, but it's the medical mecca of the state.  My doctor is one of the researchers who specializes in LASIK techniques and advancements.  I'm not getting "quack" vibes from him, certainly.  I will go in for a two to three hour screening later this month.

Mike heard from HR this morning regarding an audiologist.  Sure thing, no audiologist within a fifty-mile radius accepts our insurance.  They have given us options as to how to proceed.  I have to start down that path on Monday.

Mike finished his first week of classes.  I don't think it's been long enough to say whether or not he likes it.  He's not thrilled about night classes though.  He came home after work on both Tuesday and Thursday and complained about having to go to class.  Not a great start, but he has at least three more years of it so he better shake out of it.

My Spanish class starts on Wednesday, and I'm very excited.  I hope this isn't one of those classes where everyone is actually a pretty good speaker, and I'm the only moron who sounds like a cave woman.

In the negative column, it has been over a week, and the staff at the library has not contacted me regarding volunteering.  I'm not surprised since they do have a lot of volunteers, but I am a little disappointed.  I have decided to wait until next Thursday (a good two weeks), and then I will begin contacting other places like the VA.

How was your second week of 2012?

I don't think Mike's disciplined enough, C. We did talk about it, but he didn't think he could do it well. You and I, now that's a different story. :)
