Me gusta mi clase

This week was my first Spanish class.  There are supposed to be ten of us in the class, but only eight showed up.  A few facts:

• The instructor has taught Spanish in high schools for sixteen years.
• Of the eight people that showed up, five were women and three were men.
• Two of the ladies are in their 60s. (Love it!!)
• The three men are not US born:  one is from Hong Kong, one is from India, and one is from Brazil. (The fellow from Hong Kong speaks four languages already, and I teased him that he made us all look bad.)
• One of the ladies in her 60s was a college French professor.
• I'm the youngest and the one with the most Spanish background.

We started with very basic Spanish.  It is an eight week class so it's moving very fast, and I wonder how the others will do.  I hope everyone sticks it out.  It's much more fun to learn a language when everyone is there because they want to be and everyone is having a good time.
